2001 Disney Trophy

Beginning this year, PCISA will award an annual trophy to the best overall team in our district. PCISA has 8 events that are being scored. The points awarded for each event vary from 5 points to 20 points. This new trophy is called the "Roy E. Disney Trophy".  The first recipient of the award is the Coronado High School sailing team. The Coronado team finished with a high score of 59 points just ahead of University of San Diego High School. The Coronado team members are Tinja Anderson-Mitterling, Mikee Anderson-Mitterling, Mike Crawford, Erin Green, Brian Haines, Blaire Herron, Conner Herron, Kyle McDonald, Paul Muehlenbeck, Jonathan Nass, Luke Norwood, William Overbaugh, Mike Sarich, Lauren Usrey, James Wasson, David James, Laura Keueher and Tom Bell.

PCISA would like to thank Roy Disney for all the support that we have received this year. The new CFJ sails have helped in improving the quality of the racing. A half model of the yacht Pyewacket will be the trophy and the trophy will be presented at the fall PCISA meeting. Congratulations to the Coronado sailing team.
