1. RULES: This regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing(RRS) and by the ISSA Procedural Rules, the PCISA Supplemental Rules, the rules of the CFJ class;  

 

2. ELIGIBILITY& REGISTRATION:

2.1 This regatta is open to all High School Teams. Teams may enter by filing an entry with Richmond Yacht Club using the on-line form at www.richmondyc.org, and found below by Jan 12th, 2012 no later than 5pm. Entry fee may be paid on regatta day.

2.2 The entry fee is $25.00 per sailor. Make checks payable to RYC. Fee will include lunch from Tacos Camachi and continental breakfast.  Lunch tickets will be available at registration for Parents/Coaches

2.3 Schools may enter as many teams as they choose in Gold or Silver. 

2.4  Each Team is responsible for filling the medical release form out

3. BOATS & RACING:

3.1 Each entered team is responsible for providing a class legal CFJ and a class legal set of sails (main and jib).  

3.2 A team is considered to be 2 kids in the same boat from the same high school racing in either gold or silver fleet.

3.3 EACH SAIL WILL HAVE A UNIQUE SAIL NUMBER  

3.4 It is the intent to have Gold and Silver divisions START separately.

3.5 After two races, time will be allowed (determined by RC) for those who wish to substitute in alternates. This will be done on the water.

4. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

4.0 9:00 am - Contintental Breakfast - Registration

4.1 9:30 am - Registration ends

4.2 10:00 am - Competitors’ meeting

4.3 11:00 am - Gold Fleet gets Lunch

4.4 11:30 am - Silver Fleet gets Lunch

4.5 12:00 pm - Gold Fleet 1st start 

4.6 12:30 pm - Silver Fleet 1st start

4.7  As soon as possible after racing - awards 

5. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS: Sailing instructions and course sheets will be available at the registration desk on the day of the regatta.

6. SCORING:

6.1 Three races must be completed in Gold and Silver fleet to constitute a series for either fleet.  No scores shall be excluded per ISSA procedural rules.

7. AWARDS & TROPHIES:

7.1 There will be trophies for the top 3 finishing teams in Gold fleet and Silver fleet.

8. LUNCH:

8.1 Lunch will be provided by Tacos Camachi, Gold fleet will eat first, followed by Silver fleet.  You may take it out on the water. Entry fee covers lunches for the competitors and lunch tickets can be bought at the registration desk for coaches and parents.
